Mission: R.S. Dyton Associates, LLC is a Human Services Consulting firm dedicated to strengthening marginalized and oppressed communities by helping them build and sustain strong organizations. We believe that strong organizations need financial resources, capable staff and volunteers, effective plans, and honest evaluation of their processes and outcomes.


Vision: A world where every community, regardless of race, identity, ability, or income, has the organizational strength, resources, and power to determine its own future.

Regina S. Dyton, MSW

Principal, R.S. Dyton Associates, LLC

 Regina S. Dyton is a human services consultant, educator, and community organizer with more than 45 years of experience strengthening marginalized communities and the organizations that serve them. She holds an MSW with a concentration in Community Organizing and identifies as an African American queer, cisgender, disabled woman.


Regina's expertise spans grant writing, curriculum development, group facilitation, program design, and culturally responsive training. She has an exceptional record of securing public and private funding, including over $1.6 million in federal grants, and maintains an 85% approval rate on foundation applications.


A seasoned educator, she has taught at the UConn School of Social Work for more than 20 years and at Springfield College, and has facilitated training for state agencies, federal projects, nonprofit boards, law enforcement, and disability-serving organizations across the country.


Regina has partnered with African American, Latinx, Native American, Asian American, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and disabled communities throughout her career. She is widely recognized for her empathy, her ability to bridge divides, and her unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the shifting of power to those who have been historically excluded.

Grantsmanship  101 Course

R.S. Dyton Associates is pleased to offer Grass Roots Grants, a 28-hour foundational grant writing course for staff and volunteers of community-based organizations and motivated individuals. The course covers the full arc of the funding application process, from understanding the motivations of funders to submitting a polished, competitive proposal.


Taught by Regina S. Dyton, MSW, a practitioner with 45 years of grant writing experience and an 85% foundation approval rate, Grass Roots Grants combines real-world expertise with accessible, practical instruction.
